This particular owl was actually set free by an unidentified suspect who actually broke the cage with the intent to set the bird free.

JR, the of the great horned owl was reported missing from its cage at the nature park and the police found a hole to have been cut into the cage. This owl which was the centre of attraction in the park was later spotted, by volunteers, on a tree. All efforts of trying to lure this bird were in vain since the bird took flight – never to come back.
