# News in Tampa Bay: Toddler Recovered From Lit Apartments
Recent news in Tampa Bay of the toddler in the horrific incident was released from hospital today. Makayla Bryant, the toddler, who was rescued by firefighters from one of the burning rooms in the West Tampa apartment last Saturday has been recuperating in the local hospital, Tampa General Hospital with minor burns.
There has no been no word from Makayla's family and they have requested no interviews since the incident. With $600,000 in damages to the 10 apartments that were on fire, 28 people were critically injured including Makayla. It was fortunate that all 28 individuals are now recovering over the incident that has shocked local Tampa Bay members.
Local Firefighters are now urging parents and family members to be more careful and take safety precautions in case this incident happens again.
